If a picture is worth a thousand words then a movie is worth a million. American Society, A.A.H.K.U.S.U. is co-organising a film screening to celebrate the Black History Month with Consulate General of the United States, Hong Kong & Macau, African Studies Programme, American Studies Programme, Faculty of Education Student Researchers.

Therefore, we will be screening the film "Finding Samuel Lowe" which highlights an aspect of African-American life – finding one's familial roots – but with a twist.

Panel Q&A will be hosted featuring the executive producer/subject, Paula Madison, on the movie with you after screening. We aim to educate and draw upon the similarities within the African, African-American and Chinese community.

Fee: Free of charge to all HKU students and staff
